COMBO Medium Hat-trick!
The Onley Science Supplements Area Festivals had three Hack Up Bespoke Combo riders at Medium level in prize giving.
This weekend at the Science Supplements Area Festival there were THREE prize-giving results that were as a result of every rider going the extra mile with their horse care and preparation. I wanted to share a little about their stories, what is going on behind the scenes and the part that Hack Up Bespoke plays as a strong part of their home team.
EMMA BRIGGS & CAMELIA 3rd Medium Silver and praying for a wildcard.
"I was thrilled to bring home 3rd in the Medium Silver, I have owned Camelia since she was 6 months old and I know her inside out. She was so rideable in her test, it felt wonderful and I was so happy. I then, by chance, spotted the H8 KUP number plate and bumped into Jayne Gingell. I was unable to attend the physical prize giving as I am upgrading my BD judge level so arranged for Camelia to go home whilst I sat in with the judges. My journey with Bespoke started 24 months ago and over this time they have created 14 variations of Bespoke for my mare as her needs have changed which keep pushing her competition results skywards. I have really pushed this team through its paces and to actually meet Jayne on the day of our personal best was AWESOME. In my professional world I have a BSc and a Masters in Equine Science and I am a college lecturer for Equine courses and I am just completing my PhD in equine nutrition. Camelia is now wearing rubber shoes so her Bespoke is working alongside my fabulous farrier. We have increased her joint support by adding in the Liquid Joint on top of her powders which has made a huge improvement. I continually think out of the box to get the best results and that is what I demand from everyone I work with (even down to the physios!). Jayne has been running trials on top horses for a several years and they have worked out an amazing way to really get the most from their individual supplements running up to and through competitions. LOUISE BULLESS & TODD - 2nd Medium Bronze - Nationals here we come......
Todd was placed 2nd in a big class, beaten to 1st by just 0.3% which was a bitter-sweet moment as he was second last year too! Dressage rider Louise has been a bespoke customer since 2017 and has 4 horses at home. She has joined the team at Hack Up Bespoke handmaking practice for the summer but is loving it so much that we may just keep her!
"I really enjoyed the test, he felt fabulous. The day before he did not feel himself as he had a heat rash which I suspect it was the bedding change. But on day two he danced with me! He was so on the aids that my downwards transitions were effortless but it meant that I made a few silly errors which possibly cost me the first place! I now seriously understand the power behind the bespoke supplements and wholeheartedly appreciate what makes this brand SO much different. I encourage everyone to get involved to find an individual solution for their own individual horse. Todd has a complex mix of respiration issues and skin sensitivities. He is 19 and as a Welsh, he has a weaker back as he is ageing. We have foot issues and joint issues, yet at home, he is still offering me tempi changes. JAYNE GINGELL & HYPERION - 9th Medium Silver
"Hyperion does not take new venues in his stride. Covid meant he worked up the levels at home and that has not really helped him. I had not prepared him for this show at all! I wanted it all low-key for him and to use it as a training experience. I just wanted to work on keeping his mind with me. I had a fabulous conversation with Antonia Brown the day before I left which helped create my new game plan. Antonia also swears by Instant Liquid Caalm to improve concentration. I knew to use it as he usually competes on it but this time I kept it going in in small quantities every few hours, combined with his Bespoke Calming powder which has lots of Chamomile to balance serotonin. The amino acids, the liquid Chamomile and Marshmallow Root just created a totally chilled mind. There is a fashion for boosting certain amino acids, but as you do not know where your horse is deficient it can create the opposite effect and make them hot! We do not follow fashions as static products of shop-sold brands are forced to. We create what is right for your horse and always strive for balance. I also gave him time. We arrived the day before and he adjusted to the new space. Onley is a fabulous venue but which I had never been to before. I was thrilled with Hyperion leading in the arena walk so boldly. This made me feel excited to compete! Riders were telling me of the towers of terror at A; I did not need to hear that! However, he was foot perfect even though we were under-prepared for such a show as we had not competed or trained regularly for months. I am now excited to have my competition horse ready to go! He can now give Katya some Children On Horses classes, which will make my heart sing! Supplements will never be the total solution but bespoke gives the best nutritional support just for your horse.

Junior will be out at Inter 1 for me to have a play with. He has pushed this company so hard that Emma and Louise were riding on developments first created for Junior to keep him going after 5 suspensory branches were damaged 4 years ago and his Loss of Use stamp on his back shows just how poorly he really was. This business is about making our horses happier and that way we have happy customers too. It is a beautiful world and we look forward to you joining it.
