Emma's mobility story so qualified in equine nutrition and a competitor - 'my education makes me focus on seeing results and patterns, this is one amazing jourey to be on, I can not recommend bespoke highly enough.'

After starting the Joint Combo my results reliably improved by 2-3%. I had never had a 7.5 for a medium trot from my veteran. On researching further all of the riders we spoke to also saw the same average score increase. This pioneering new way to supplement mixing the sprinking of powders and liquids into their feeds is now being taken up by my students to begin to analyze and validate the data for their dissertations. The team has even been kind enough to accept my invitation to join a Zoom lecture to talk about Bespoke for part of their course.  I have the education behind me to help anyone who can not believe that this bespoke supplementation is possible (as I always question things!!) and think all the amazing reviews simply cannot be true. I suggest to anyone curious have confidence and try it - you can even have it live streamed to you whilst they make it so you see exactly what is going into your horses' diet.

My journey with Bespoke started 24 months ago and over this time they have created 14 variations of Bespoke for my mare as her needs have changed which keep pushing her competition results skywards.  Camelia is now wearing rubber shoes so her Bespoke is working alongside my fabulous farrier. We have increased her joint support by adding in the Liquid Joint on top of her powders which has made a huge improvement.  I continually think out of the box to get the best results and that is what I demand from everyone I work with (even down to the physios!). Hack Up Bespoke has been running trials on top horses for a several years and they have worked out an amazing way to really get the most from their individual supplements running up to and through competitions.  So I am excited to be part of this learning too.  The open approach they take to supporting you is not through performance or results, it is just what you get when you engage with them.

Your journey with bespoke can start like mine, when I shared all Camillias details on their interactive form. It is quick and easy to do. I have pursueaded the team to do a starter product that you report back on and give you a cash discount too! 1kg powder and 500mls will give you a 6 week supply that is then reported back to the team for them to change it to reflect your horses response. The offer is on for either way you buy, the choice is yours.

In my lecturing role we talk facts of horses: they can take up to 36 - 48 hours to eat, and produce 6 litres of gastic acid everyday digest and absorb nutrients from the feed we give them. If those nutrients, are not balanced for the individual horse, and yes, each horse is an individual (just like us!) we can then start to come across problems or see a loss of performance or health.  We then rely on professionals to guide us to making informed decisions about what we do. However, most of the information we give, is based on our opinion, not laboratory tests. Therefore, when we collect a supplement or feed from a tack shop, that has been prepared for the general population, not our own individual horse. We then read the manufacturer's guidelines on feeding levels, and again, this is based on weight. However, the following environmental conditions are not included; temperament, breed, workload, current condition, and whether the horse is stabled or out at grass. All of these will also affect how the horses use and utilise the feed we give them.

The feed and supplements we use can consist of a variety of different ingredients, in a wide range of different compositions. All of these have been analysed in order to produce the nutritional analysis on the bag or container. However, this is where it starts to get confusing…It all depends on the quantity and quality of these ingredients that will have an impact on the energy, fibre, and protein in the feedbag. But important thoughts, the ingredient listed first (in the largest amount), last (the least amount). Therefore, if you have a supplement that states MSM on the label, you would expect that to be the first on the list?? This is not always the case, as there are other things like shelf life, palatability, storage, and manufacturing costs that need to be taken into account. Therefore, you may see a lot of other ‘things'. When considering a supplement, the purer the better. Studies show it is hard to work out how much a horse actually uses when being fed, as there are losses through metabolism. So by adding extra ingredients which filter down the things we need and supplements commonly add in wheat feed, rice, soya and other low-grade nutrients. Bespoke totally avoids all these items. The fact that their own manufacturing is also accredited to International Quality standards ISO9001 is peace of mind for competitors of all levels as there is not even a restricted ingredient in their range, which again is rare in the supplement industry.
