Harry's Bespoke journey week 1

Follow Harry the dressage horse starting out his Hack Up bespoke journey and see where it takes him!

Harry has now started his journey with Hack Up bespoke to further support and maintain him. Jayne Gingell has been amazing with getting his products specially tailored to him. I am super excited to see how with some consistent fitness and these awesome products just how far he can go, with the aim of Katya Gingell (13) taking him to the children on horses’ program and then hopefully onto juniors in 2023!

On day one Katya rides him and he feels wobbly and a little worried but after a big breakdown and long slow rehab he’s going to take time. He could be incredible and after 30 mins his lateral work started to look exciting!!! Powering up his clicking joints next and creating more confidence by settling his mind to dressage again is packed in two combos! We will monitor him closely and support him as his needs change.

After a few days Harry went on a little power walk, even got past the cows today!! He will go past them in company but alone they are after him, super chilled whilst on his new bespoke supplements!

Day 5 on bespoke and after only riding him 3 times, Katya and Harry did their first elementary test! There were a few partnership niggles to figure out and some more fitness work needed for Harry but a respectable 61% just to get us a starting score. Really nice comments from the judge.

7 years ago, he was the small tour medium championship winner, one of his last outings in the white boards before injury stopped his career. 2 years of rehab, being loved as all horses should and I’m thrilled we have got to where we are, and I can’t wait to see what’s to come.

Now to get to work. With hopes of Harry being Katya’s Second ride in the FEI Children on Horses competitions through 2023! Just a very proud moment seeing my beautiful horse back where he belongs and doing the job he was born to do!!
