How Judges Break Down the Movements in a Test
It's well worth you spending 10 mins doing the same and seeing what you're getting judged on. For example in this test (Novice 34) movements 2 & 3 are very long movements so we have a lot of trot work to consider when giving a mark. We'll assess the rhythm, roundness, suppleness, balance, engagement, resistance, accuracy, correct bend etc.. for the whole movement. You therefore have to tick ALL these boxes to get a 'good' mark.
In movement 6 however, you simply have to trot from E to H, and we mark you out of 10 for that. So ensure you get it right!!!
So... know where in the test you need to concentrate on and get right
