Celaeron Equestrian & Hack Up Help Mikey Go From Strength to Strength

Kelly at Celaeron Equestrian has been amazing with my youngster and when I needed a supplement for him she suggested I contact Hack Up. The supplements have been very effective and the service has been fantastic.

Mikey moved to Celaeron and Kelly broke him in with me having as much input as I wished. After finding out I was pregnant I made the decision to turn Mikey away until after the baby was born. As soon as I was able I wanted to be back in the saddle and Kelly allowed me to have lessons on Maddy her established dressage mare to build up my muscle tone and core before getting back on Mikey. When we brought Mikey back into work he showed intermittent lameness which got progressively worse. On Kelly and Colette’s (My vet and Kelly’s best friend) advice we investigated it further. A trip to Cotts and a diagnosis of reverse rotation of both hind pedal bones, which in turn had caused pain in the tendon attachment points further up. Kelly helped me to put together a rehab program to encourage Mikey to work in the correct way and strengthen his hind legs. Kelly has always gone above and beyond to help and support me and I honestly don’t know where we would have been without her!

While this was going on she suggested that I speak to Alex at Hack Up about a supplement to support Mikey’s joints and perhaps a calmer to help him focus more as he can be a little hot and spooky at times. From this point we haven’t looked back, Mikey has gone from strength to strength and when we started to go out competing more at the beginning of this year again he would be very spooky and unpredictable at new venues so after speaking to Hack Up they tweaked his formula and he is so much better. I also have my ex racer mare on Hack Up, a calm and digest to help her stop worrying her weight off and following surgery for a broken and infected pedal bone Alex and his team produced an immune support and hoof growth formula to help her recovery which has gone faster and better than anyone though and I’m sure some of this is down to the bespoke supplement she has had.
