Confident once more thanks to Hack Up!

After a scary accident in the trailer, Finley lost his confidence. But with the help of his Hack Up supplements he is back out doing what he loves best!

I have owned Finlay my Welsh D since a 2 year old , he’s now 11 and he has always been super laid back and easy with everything we have done - easy to back as a 4 year old , showing, showjumping, dressage and xc just taken it in his stride.

For no reason after a lovely fun ride 3 years ago he loaded as normal into my trailer and stood quietly, next thing I saw he had somehow got his legs over the front bar and through the tack lockers!! Although he wasn’t panicking it was really awful as once we got him free he did it again and this time it took 7 people to get him out again, he spent the next 2 hours pacing, trembling, sweating and I had to organise a lorry to take him home under sedation. I spent the next few weeks trying to get him comfy travelling again but he was still sweating, trembling when loaded and it was stressful for us both.

A friend suggested I contact hack up as we could see he wasn’t scared of loading but was on his nerves and losing weight through sweating . Hack up spent time listening to me, asking questions about breed, temperament, symptoms etc to work out the best blend to help Finlay - we were sent a calm and digest for males blend with the addition of liquid calmer to use when needed.

The difference after just 2 weeks was visible - I could travel him with almost no muscle trembling, Adrenalin or sweating - he was calm in himself, and I was able to start relaxing when travelling. We had missed a lot of our drag hunt season with the travel issues but we were able to finish the season and now we have had 3 full seasons with no issues – the hack up team have also been amazing when I needed to adjust the blend slightly for extra weight gain or add any extras based on changes .
