Liquid Caalm helps rehab of a broken leg!
A seriously broken leg meant months on cross ties and Liquid Caalm was fed daily to keep him settled and still. Now look at him!
Liquid Caalm in Rehab!! It is so heartwarming to hear stories like this. I personally was the test rider of this new Liquid Caalm development 2 years ago with Junior, it was better for him then the vet's option. Reading this story brings a tear to my eye, as I know the feelings our owners go through, from fear to relief overwhelming emotions in a split second, thankfully both our stories have the happiest of endings. Hi Jayne - This is Blade (17hh Hanoverian 21yo) the horse with the broken leg. Feel free to use whichever of these you prefer.
I used both your liquid calmers during his incarceration on the cross ties as they were both available at that time so I bought a large bottle of each and found that they both worked equally well for him. Once the leg started healing and he was in less pain he’d get really agitated when other liveries turned up and brought their horses in (we are a total DIY yard with no staff.) So I left both bottles outside his stable and told them to just feed it as and when they felt he needed it if I wasn’t there. It was actually after he came off the cross ties and was “just” on regular box rest that it was most useful, as he’d spin about in his box sometimes kicking walls and rearing in his box.
!! It was 7 months before I was able to start walking him out in hand, so as you can imagine that was an arse twitching moment in itself.... double dose of your calmer first time then one shot for the next few times and we were away with not a sniff of drama. Same protocol when I finally started turning him out for short periods - and again not even a hint of an explosion. (I have videos if you’d like). Thank you for your product - I am eternally grateful for all the little things that helped him survive this.
