Chamomile Flower Powder
Supports digestion and helps with calming issues that are often seen at seasonal times of the year. This powerful herb is becoming more and more prevalent in calming formulations all the time as it is known to help maintain healthy levels of serotonin.
Chamomile has been used in folk medicine for thousands of years, often with encouraging results. For now, however, it remains a supplement and not a medication. Chamomile is a herb that comes from the daisy-like flowers of the Asteraceae plant family. It has been consumed for centuries as a natural remedy for several health conditions. Chamomile contains the antioxidant apigenin, antioxidants mop up free radicals that can have a negative impact on wellbeing.
Limited evidence suggests chamomile may be effective for promoting better digestion by reducing the risk of certain gastrointestinal conditions.A few studies have found that chamomile extract has the potential to protect against diarrhea in mice. This is attributed to its anti-inflammatory properties
Another study in rats found chamomile to be helpful in preventing stomach ulcers, as it may reduce acidity in the stomach and inhibit the growth of bacteria that contribute to ulcer development
Bespokes with chamomile added to their bespokes have seen improved results on their digestive and behaviour to those fed on bespokes before Chamomile was added to the raw ingredients range in 2016. We have been recommended to not formalise these findings to ensure this wonderful flower remains a supplement and not a vet only supplied medicine.
