Garlic contains Thiosuphate which can be responsible for Heinz Body Hemolytic Amaemia. This is oxidative damage to red blood cells causing them a shortened life span, inducing anaemia. Garlic would need to be fed in very large quantities for prolonged periods for this to happen.
