I always add a glug of Linseed Oil to Finn's feed ration. Mostly because it has the preferred Omega 3 to 6 ratio but also to support good skin and coat health. His coat has stayed shiny from Autumn through to Spring, through being clipped and now as his coat changes. He still has that glossy golden shine that gets the comments on my pictures! Linseed Oil contains the essential fatty acid Alpha-Linolenic Acid (ASA) and, unlike other oils, is higher in Omega-3 which helps address the Omega-6 to Omega-3 imbalance common in modern horse diets.
